Excerpt From A Journey To The Land Of Oz
By Rodney Harris
We enter then a whole new world…an actual sheep station:
25 Ks from end to end and an excellent location.
It's got a sense of bygone days…a definite atmosphere,
Where Robert and Cherry and their sons are homely and
sincere.
This is not your normal B&B. It's not a casual affair.
Their business is their passion…we're like family there.
Now Robert's a fair dinkum fella…a Crocodile Dundee.
He says he'll take us for a ride….but we're going for a
spree!
So all aboard the Ute we climb and go to herd the cows.
Then off into a wood of gums, he weaves between their boughs!
In theory this is all because he wants to check his ewes
But along the way we must have seen a hundred kangaroos!

We really like the people who
send in their stories and poems. Their views are always worth
listening to. Sometimes they might differ from that of Explore, but
that's okay because the world is an interesting place and we like
to discover and talk about it, even if we don't agree. Just so you
know.
