Following in the footsteps of the British explorer, Martin Frobisher, who landed on Baffin Island over 400 years ago, we discover an ice-carved landscape and incredible abundance of wildlife that have changed little since those pioneering days. In the capable hands of Charles Frobisher, a descendant of Martin Frobisher, and our Inuit guides, we'll gain a real insight into life and survival in this harshest of environments.

Isolated for millennia from the rest of the world, the beautiful Omo Valley is home to an intriguing mix of many small and distinctive tribal groups. Amongst others we find the Karo, the Mursi and the Hamer - all of whom have retained their own unique customs and traditions. On this journey of discovery we get truly off the beaten track, exploring little visited National Parks, picturesque villages and vibrant local markets. We discover some areas on foot and are privileged to witness age-old customs and rituals, learning of the symbolism that remains an integral part of everyday life in this captivating region.

Our off-beat trip in northern Madagascar is a real adventure, combining tropical islands with rainforest reserves and the chance to view many different species of lemur, birds and plants. We include several very special and remote reserves, where access is only possible on foot.

This dramatic journey follows a route that is little-used by outsiders; crossing from Siberia into Mongolia's highest mountain region, the Bayan-Olgii, where we explore the majesty of two of its national parks. We also experience the unique Kazakh Eagle Festival; joining the locals in a joyous celebration of ancient nomadic skills.

Nestling amidst the high plateaux and snow-capped peaks of western Tibet is mystical Mount Kailash; the holiest mountain in Asia, it is the centre of the spiritual universe for Buddhists, Hindus, Jains and devotees of the ancient Bon faith.
