Angkor Wat

Ta Phrom

One of the most fascinating places in the world, Angkor was abandoned in the early 15th century and hidden by dense forest. Rediscovered about 150 years ago by a French man called Henri Mahout it is now a protected UNESCO world heritage site.

The site is spread out over 40 miles and was built between the 8th and 13th centuries. The most famous temple in this vast area is of course Angkor Wat which is visited on several of our Explore holidays.
