Peru for you?

On the reed islands of Lake Titicaca

The ancient Incan capital of Cuzco, the mysterious Nazca Lines and Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake, need little introduction; and there are surely few experiences as memorable as emerging, after days of trekking along the classic Inca Trail, to the breathtaking views of the 'Lost City' itself - Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Adventure travellers often talk of 'the moment' in each of their expeditions, and there are surely few as exceptionally memorable as this.

Explore runs a rich and varied programme of tours to Peru, catering for the culture condor who likes a few creature comforts, as much as for the octane-burning traveller up for a high altitude challenge. All Peru trips visit Machu Picchu (either as part of the itinerary or as an optional extension) and many also offer an extension in a jungle lodge on the Amazon.

Choquequirao, the 'other' Lost CIty

Few have heard of Choquequirao, the 'other' Machu Picchu, and The Inca Pathways to Choquequirao is a challenging trek taking in both of these intriguing sites.

To discover the immense richness and culture of little visited northern Peru, why not consider Lost Cities of the Cloud People? This tour can be extended to include Machu Picchu.
