The best way to sample Spain's breathtaking scenary is on foot, we offer several walking holidays that give you opportunity to visit medieval mountain towns and ancient villages whilst sampling 'tapas' and local wine.

On Foot in the Alpujarras - Meandering over the semi-tropical southern flanks of the Sierra Nevada, this moderate trek combines relatively low altitude with delightful high mountain vistas. The villages in the Alpujarras are characterised by ancient Moorish traditions found nowhere else in Spain - flat-roofed houses reminiscent of those found in the Atlas Mountains.

Catalan Explorer - Home to Dali and to some of the most remarkable architecture in Europe, Catalonia is a world away from the nearby Costas. On this tour you combine strolling through the Ramblas of Barcelona, with the Medieval backstreets of Girona. Time is spent in the Pyrenees exploring the little visited Garrotxa - a land of woods, extinct volcanoes and ancient villages.

On Foot in the Pyrenees - This week long trip is an excellent opportunity to get to know some of the most stunning parts of the Catalan Pyrenees on foot. The trip focuses on the eastern half of the National Park of Aigues Tortes along with walks through little visited forests and medieval mountain villages. Using hotel accommodation in two villages throughout the week allows you to combine comfort and excellent hiking during the day, with a minimum of time spent travelling.

Cycling Holidays in Spain

Coastal paths

By pedalling along rural back roads and at your own pace, you really can get closer to nature and the local people.

It is now possible to cycle almost uninterruptedly from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean without having to negotiate roads on our Pyrenees to the Med tour. Your time is spent exploring the little visited Garrotxa area - a land of woods, extinct volcanoes and ancient villages. We also combine our with a stroll through the Ramblas of Barcelona and the medieval back streets of Girona.

On the Cycle Camino de Santiago tour we cycle in the footsteps of pilgrims from all over Europe who, since the 9th century have been making their way to Santiago de Compostela, the reputed resting place of Saint James.

Cycling on the Backroads of Andalucia is rewarding and quite undemanding, with little to no traffic, and takes you through a rugged and varied landscape. Sheer canyons chop their way into a semi-arid desert reminiscent of Arizona, whilst the Moorish villages of the Alpujarras and the splendour of Granada add to the diversity of this trip. The tour is all in the shadows of the peaks of the Sierra Nevada - often snow capped until late May.
