Explore are members of the Travel Operators for Tigers campaign
(TOFT). This is a travel industry body which works together with
suppliers in India's wildlife reserves to ensure the environmental
and business practice of all proactively supports conservation and
motivates the local community to protect the tiger. TOFT directs a
significant proportion of its funding to Global Tiger Patrol to
support specific conservation and anti-poaching measures. For more

Morocco Education Project
Very few girls from the rural communities in the High Atlas get
the opportunity to continue their education after primary school
due to the distance and lack of suitable accommodation. To address
this problem, the Moroccan NGO,
Education For
All, supported heavily by the Imlil Village Association, is
building a girls' boarding house at Asni which will accommodate 24
girls when complete in September 2008. Already, 8 girls are being
looked after in rented accommodation under this scheme and we are
delighted to be sponsoring 3 of them for a year.

Our Sri Lankan Elephant!
In September 2007, Explore became proud adoptive parents to a
beautiful baby elephant who was rescued and transferred to the
Elephant Transit Home at Udawalawe National Park when she was only
3 or 4 days old. We have 'adopted' her and our sponsorship will
keep her fed and in vet's bills until she is old enough to be
released into the wild at around 4 years old.
