EasyWe cycle up to 45 km (28 miles) daily, mainly on flat or gently undulating terrain. On these tours you can expect to be cycling for up to four hours each day, with additional time for stops. You don’t have to be a regular cyclist to enjoy Easy grade trips, but you should be reasonably fit and active. These trips are ideal if you simply want to explore a region by bicycle, at a relaxed pace. |

Easy to ModerateShort to medium duration rides, generally 30 to 50 km per day but occasionally up to 65 km. The terrain is flat or undulating, with occasional more challenging climbs. You can expect to be cycling for about 4 to 6 hours each day, excluding stops. If you are reasonably fit and cycle occasionally at the weekend you will enjoy our Easy to Moderate grade trips. |

ModerateWe cycle for up to 65 km (40 miles) a day, often on undulating terrain with occasional more challenging climbs. Some sections may be off-road but are not particularly challenging. You can expect to be cycling for up to six hours each day, excluding stops. If you are reasonably fit and cycle regularly at the weekend you will enjoy our Moderate grade trips. |

Moderate to StrenuousMedium to long rides, normally about 65 km (40 miles) per day but occasionally longer. The terrain is often undulating with some challenging ascents. You can expect to be cycling for six hours each day and sometimes more. The route may include some non-technical off-road sections. Our Moderate to Strenuous grade trips are ideal for keen and reasonably fit cyclists. |

StrenuousOn these trips we cycle through more hilly terrain, so you need to be fit and well prepared. The distances covered depend very much on the amount of ascent and descent involved but we typically cycle for six hours or more each day. There may be some off-road sections but these are not technical. Our Strenuous grade trips are ideal for keen cyclists looking for a more challenging ride. |

Strenuous to ToughLong and challenging rides through hilly or mountainous terrain with some demanding ascents. The distances covered depend very much on the amount of ascent and descent involved but we typically cycle for at least six hours each day, possibly on difficult surfaces. These trips suit experienced cyclists who are confident in their physical fitness. |

ToughTough grade cycling takes us into more demanding terrain, with long and sometimes steep ascents and descents, possibly on difficult surfaces and at high altitudes. To enjoy these trips you need to have plenty of previous experience and high levels of physical fitness and mental stamina. |
