Our adventure holidays to Lebanon offer great diversity. Visit Beirut; A capital of Modern & Traditional Cultures. Once a playground for the rich and famous Beirut, Lebanon's capital, has in recent years again blossomed into one of the eastern Mediterranean's great cities, regaining its stature as the region's most vibrant city. Walking among the churches and monasteries of the beautiful Qadisha Valley is a highlight of any visit. This region is also one of the last bastions of Lebanon's famous cedar trees, treasured for their durable, sweet-scented wood.
When to go
Lebanon has a typically Mediterranean climate. There are four seasons. Summer (June to September) is hot on the coast and cooler in the mountains. Spring and autumn are warm and pleasant. Winter (December to mid March) is mostly rainy, with snow in the mountains. The best time to visit is spring when you can enjoy good weather and the archaeological treasure with spring flowers shooting up amid the ruins and snow capped mountains as the back drop. Or visit in autumn with the cool crisp weather and less crowds than the busy summer and winter months.
Lebanon can also be combined with trips to
Jordan and
Syria to create a more comprehensive tour of the
Middle East.
