Arctic or Antarctic?
Those who are lucky enough to be able to go to the Arctic or the Antarctic may still have to choose one or the other. So how do you decide? Here are the key characteristics of each to help you...The Arctic
- Is an ocean surrounded by continents and greenland
- Has polar bears but no penguins
- Has tundra with rich plant life in spring and summer
- Offers the opportunity to also visit the Orkneys, Shetland and the Norwegian fjords
The Antarctic
- Is a landmass completely covered in ice.
- Has penguins but not polar bears
- Has algae but no trees
- Offer the opportunity to visit South Georgia, the Falkland Islands and South Shetland Islands

Your booking will be handled by our small and friendly Tailormade Explore team. You may have noticed that the prices quoted on our website are lead-in prices (based on sharing a twin cabin), and are for the cruise only. Our Tailormade Explore team will help you arrange any flights you may need, as well as transfers and hotels (if needed). Now all you need to do, is decide which one!
