Argentina: Valdes Peninsula

Whale watching from Valdes is possible between October and early December when groups of southern right whales come here for breeding. The Valdes Peninsula is an important UNESCO site for the conservation of marine mammals and is also a breeding ground for elephant seals and southern sea lions, whose young pups become the target for hunting packs of orcas (killer whales), reminding us of both of the beauty and brutality of nature.
