My favourite place in the world is Vegas. I absolutely love it. People used to say to me that you couldn’t go there for more than a week without getting sick of it. I lived there for three months and just couldn’t get enough. I love the fact there is a constant buzz about the place 24/7. There are so many different activities to do such as zip lining over Freemont Street to skydiving over the views of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. I also love going downtown and seeing how it used to be before the days of the strip.
I’ve had so many nice meals on my travels but you just can’t compete with some of the stuff the Americans serve. I visited Gordon Ramsey’s latest restaurant in Vegas and the food was out of this world. I got British ale onion soup as a starter and then beef wellington for the main. That man has some serious talent. One of the less classier but still up there in my top ten would the meatball sliders and matchstick fries from the Golden Nugget. I could have eaten these until I burst.
One day I’d love to go to Italy. I’ve never been before but think I would love it - walking round the cobbled streets, drinking fine wine, tasting amazing food and taking in the culture. Naples, Florence and Venice (making sure I took up the offer of a gondola ride) are all places I would love to visit. There isn’t one particular reason for me wanting to go, I’ve just loved hearing other peoples stories of their trips there and looking through some of their photo’s – I want to visit more and more every time I see them.
