My best holiday was when I went to Malaysia last year. I was only there for ten days but the places and experiences were so varied – I spent time in cities, at the beach, up in the hills and in the rainforest. The diversity, both in the country and the people I met, made for an unforgettable holiday.

I’m not sure where to go next; it changes on a daily basis! Always up near the top of my (very long) list is Central America – I’d love to visit all the ancient Mayan sites across the area. Plus there’s wildlife to see, rainforest to explore and colourful towns to discover.

If I had to give one piece of travel advice, I’d say ‘don’t look at the world through the lens of a camera’. While it’s lovely to capture holidays on film, I make sure I don’t just see everything through the lens – sometimes it’s best to just put the camera away for a while and take in the sights and sounds surrounding you. While photographs capture a moment in time, nothing beats the feeling you get experiencing it properly first-hand.
