I would say my best holiday has been the holiday I have just come back from in Nepal. I met my husband trekking in Nepal 12 years ago and I had always dreamt about being able to return there with our two girls as part of our 10th Wedding Anniversary celebrations. There is something so special about Nepal. The people are the nicest, friendliest, most caring I have ever met and combined with amazing mountainous scenery, great food, a fascinating history and culture and a very relaxed way of life – it is truly a great place.
I used to say my dream travelling companion was Michael Palin as he has always been one of my idols. After travelling to Nepal with my daughters this has somewhat changed! I find it so rewarding travelling with them, they see things so differently and sharing my travelling experiences with them is just amazing. We should give kids so much more credit than we do - they just get on with it whilst they are on holiday.
Next, I would really like to do more in Africa. After having spent time in Chitwan National Park in Nepal, bathing the elephants first hand, I’d really like to see more wildlife on my next trip. I haven’t really explored Africa at all and I’d love to also climb Kilimanjaro!
