Funnily enough, although I’ve been to so many places all over the world with Explore, my best ever holiday was in my home country, India. I travelled all over with friends and we experienced our homeland with fresh eyes.
But where to next? My list is a long one – I’d love to go trekking in Patagonia and in the Andes, also to go on safari in Namibia. But South East Asia has always been a favourite region for me and I’d love to go back to any of the countries there.
This might sound strange but my top-tip for adventurous travellers is….to get lost as often as you can! It’s the best way to explore a place, with unexpected surprises as you’ll meet people and discover places you wouldn’t have found in the guidebook. Having said that, maybe learn a few local words so you can find your way back.
