I studied in Mexico when I was younger and fell completely head-over-heels in love with the place: the food, the people, the customs, the music – in fact, everything about it. I couldn’t wait to return, so when I joined Explore as a Tour Leader I took the first opportunity to get back there – and ended up staying ten years! Mexico is a huge country with endless variety: snowcapped mountains, tropical beaches, modern cities, traditional villages, beautiful colonial architecture, ancient sites – the old cliché is true – it’s a whole world in one country (and as I discovered a difficult place to leave!)

Where next? I’ve been lucky enough to travel throughout the Americas and in Europe but need to start heading East! India is top of my wish-list: I’ve always been curious to see and experience the country, having heard so much about it.
