I always find it really hard to name my favourite holiday. I have been to so many different types of places and been on so many different styles of tours, that it is very hard to say which was my best trip. I am completely in love with Africa though; the continent as a whole is amazing, it varies so much from place to place, it’s great for exploring.

My best meal abroad was guinea fowl skewers with french fries and tomato ketchup whilst I was camping with Nomads in the middle of the desert in Burkina Faso – a truly unforgettable experience. 

Whenever I travel I always carry a penknife because you never know when you will need it, and travel wash. My best piece of travel advice is to pack a change of clothes into your hand luggage in case your main luggage goes temporarily missing at the other end.
