If I travel solo, do I have to pay a single supplement? No - we have no compulsory single supplements. If you travel on one of our exclusive Solo tours a single room is built into the price of your trip. On our regular tours accommodation is on a shared basis, in same sex twin rooms, at no additional charge. This means that you will share a room with a fellow traveller of the same sex and, whenever possible, of approximately the same age. What if I want a single room?On most tours we offer the option to pay a little extra for a room of your own: look out for the Single Room Option (SRO) icon on the 'Dates & Prices' pages. Will the group be full of couples or solo travellers? On our regular tours the ratio between solo travellers and others (whether couples or friends) is generally 50/50. The exception to this is our singles holidays, where everyone will be travelling alone. Are other single travellers mainly women or men?Generally the split between women and men travelling solo on our holidays is 60/40 so you won't feel outnumbered. What age will the rest of my group be?There is a great mix of travellers of all ages on our tours, ranging from their 20s to their 60s and over. You'll be travelling with other 'like-minded' people so the range of ages really makes little difference. What happens in the evenings? We keep things flexible by not including all meals on our tours, so you can choose where to go in the evenings. Our groups tend to bond quickly and choose to go out and eat all together: as a solo traveller you don't need to worry about fending for yourself. What are the benefits of travelling solo in a group rather than just on my own?
