'Sky-high mountains' and wildlife make Nepal ideal for adventure holidays
Nepal is a great place to visit if you are planning an adventure holiday for two very special reasons, according to Christopher Hudson.
Firstly, the south-east Asian country is home to some of the most awe-inspiringly sublime views in the region, with its "sky-high mountains" offering something rare and beautiful.
The author wrote on the Trip Ideas website that, as well as these natural formations, the wildlife of Nepal is "wonderful", particularly the country's tiger and elephant populations.
Mr Hudson noted it was great "to be in this place, looking out towards the river and the white peaks of the Himalayas and listening to the elephants … in the night".
The travel writer added that there was one thing which made the adventure holiday so appealing: "There's no denying that what makes it so special is the elephants," he said.
People travelling to Nepal on an activity trip could take one of the country's many trails for hiking holidays, such as a challenging yet rewarding Everest trek.
