Stressed-out people at work may be interested to know that travelling - be it on an adventure holiday or solo holiday - will make their employment life easier and improve their general health.
In fact, new research has shown that Britons need a break every 63 days to avoid becoming 'burnt out', according to a survey by Post Office Travel Insurance.
The poll also found that most workers' stress levels have fallen to a more acceptable level after just a few days of rest from the office.
Cary Cooper, the professor of organisational psychology and health at Lancaster University, commented on the findings, emphasising the health risks of not taking holidays.
"Workers really should take a break every few months otherwise they will burn out, which is bad for them and their employer," he said.
"People who fail to go on holiday are more likely to become anxious, aggressive and withdrawn. They may also develop aches and pains and struggle to sleep."
