Presenter says he saw enough animals 'to last a lifetime'

Broadcaster Terry Wogan has praised adventure holidays in East Africa after returning from a "magnificent" holiday to Kenya.

The public figure, well known for his presenting duties on the Eurovision Song Contest and BBC's Children in Need, said the holiday included a trip to one of the African continent's most famous nature reserves.

"My visit to East Africa included a trip to the Masai Mara, where I saw enough zebras, giraffes, monkeys, mongeese, gazelles, elephants, lions and hyenas to last me a lifetime," he said.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is home to many animals, especially big cats and wildebeest, the latter of which migrate every year from the nearby Serengeti ecosystem, in Kenya and Tanzania.

But Kenya is more than the location some of the finest safari adventure holidays in the world, people travelling to the country can take in the beautiful views of the Rift Valley lakes.
