Region is ideal for adventure holiday-makers
People planning to visit South Africa's Kwazulu-Natal region will find that its coastline has a multitude of activities and is therefore ideal for those on adventure holidays, according to the country's tourism body.
Lebohang Mokhesi, the manager for South African Tourism in the United Kingdom, noted that the region is great for watersports and other activities.
"There are three spectacular beaches namely Ramsgate, Marina Beach and Lucien, with the International 'Blue Flag' status, meaning visitors can swim, surf or laze on the beaches whilst perfecting their suntan," she said.
"For those wanting to see the wild side and commune with nature, Umtamvuna Nature Reserve is a must see."
This national nature reserve contains plants native to the area and found no where else in the world.
Over the next couple of months, this stretch of South Africa's coast plays host to an annual sardine migration which sees shoals of the fish travelling past.
