City is also great as a starting point to explore
Adventure travellers who want to explore Argentina's "vast" landscapes may find that their journey will be easiest if they start in the capital, Buenos Aires.
That is because this city is well-connected to the rest of the country, with a fine transport system, but also because Buenos Aires itself is a fine destination for those planning adventure holidays.
Heather Carswell, a spokeswoman for the guidebook publishing company Lonely Planet, who noted that the city is also great for people who wish to try "experiencing the Argentinean culture".
"Buenos Aires is … a good hub for travelling onwards to explore the rest of the country," she said.
"However, be aware that the country is vast - nearly 3500 kilometres long - so you need to be prepared for long bus rides or ... internal flights."
Some of the other destinations people on adventure holidays in Argentina may like to visit include the famous and fantastic national park Patagonia.
