That you need upwards of a month to travel is 'a myth'
Travellers planning to take a solo holiday to Australia should not be worried if they cannot travel for a month or more, as it is possible to have a "fantastic time" during a shorter stay.
That is according to Rodney Harrex, the general manager for Tourism Australia in the United Kingdom and northern Europe, who noted that travellers should not believe an extended period is needed to experience the country.
"Some people will never have considered Australia as a two-week holiday destination, but it's a myth that you need at least a month to enjoy a trip down under," he said.
"Australia offers unique holiday experiences in stunning surrounds and as long as they don't try and pack too much in to their itinerary, holiday makers will have a fantastic time in as little as a fortnight."
According to these guidelines set out by the tourism body, a fifteen-day trip taking in some of the country's most spectacular sights might be an ideal solo holiday.
