Iguazu Falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls 'in the world'
E-mail Print

Waterfall is shared between Brazil and Argentina

People planning adventure holidays should pay a visit to Iguazu Falls, which offers a "jaw-dropping" sight and sound for people taking this kind of holiday, according to Lonely Planet.

An employee writing for the travel guide publishers said that the waterfall, located in between Argentina and Brazil, is one of the best in the world, particularly noting the sublime nature of the Falls' "raw power".

"At Iguazu - Iguacu to the Brazilians - the falls to end all falls are apportioned between [the two countries]," the writer noted.

"OK, so the biggest drop is a 'mere' 82m - but with a staggering 275 cataracts extending for 2.7km along the Iguazu River, the combined might is jaw-dropping … and deafening."

The amazing cataracts that the writer mentions are the name given to a large and powerful waterfall, of which Iguanzu Falls has many, none more impressive than the 'Devil's Throat' (or Garganta del Diablo) water formation.
