Forsyth praises Maldives and Australia highly
There are two places in the world that have the best diving opportunities and are therefore perfect for people planning adventure holidays, according to one of the top thriller writers in the country.
Frederick Forsyth told the Daily Telegraph about his top holidays, saying that taking to the ocean when vacationing is one of his favourite pastimes.
"I've been scuba diving since 1978 and so my favourite holidays have been anywhere that I get the chance to do a lot of that," he said. "Australia and the Maldives [are home to] some of the best dive sites."
The Day of the Jackal and Odessa File writer also said that, he is starting to move to more the easier practice of snorkelling as scuba is starting to "feel like hard work".
Visit Maldives, the promotional body for the destination, recently announced that the country is ideal for diving because of its water is clear enough to have "high visibility throughout the year".
