Difficult to 'suggest just one region' of brilliant Austria
E-mail Print

Austrian Tourism Office says the country has a lot to offer

Austria has many different cities and regions which are ideal for people planning solo holidays, so much so that it is difficult to suggest just one.

That is according to Martina Jamnig, who is press officer at the Austrian Tourist National Office. She noted that the food of the country - although underappreciated - is among the best in Europe.

"The unique selling point of Austria is top-notch service and the perfect combination of culture, nature and local and organic cuisine," the promotional officer said.

"Furthermore, Austria is just a two hour flight away and there are many flights from UK airports to Austria."

Ms Jamnig added that there is such a wide variety of things to do in Austria, it is impossible to "suggest just one region". However, people who are looking for a place to visit on a solo holiday should at least consider the capital, Vienna, which is one of the top cultural destinations in the world.
