Mexico is a 'great destination' for people planning to take an adventure holiday in Central America, according to a company which promotes tourism in the country.
Just Mexico, an online travel guide to the destination, has said that there are many different reasons for people to visit the country on holiday, such as the fascinating history that can be seen in its buildings.
"Mexico is a great destination and has a lot to offer to travellers," the organisation noted on its website.
"Whether you decide to visit the beautiful beaches famous around the world, historical cities from the time of the Spanish colony and archaeological sites of [ancient] cultures … you will enjoy Mexico holidays any time of the year."
One of the most popular sites to visit for people visiting Mexico on an adventure holiday is the Mayan temple of Chichen Itza, located in the Yucatan Peninsula, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
