Morocco's appeal to visitors lies in the fact that it offers such geographical diversity
Tourists looking for family package holidays may want to consider Morocco as it is a destination suitable for everyone, according to Faical Alaoui, trade marketing manager for UK and Ireland at the Moroccan National Tourist Office.
Mr Alaoui has suggested that the "geographical diversity" of the country means that it holds interest for people of all ages and backgrounds.
He said: "You can ... drive for two or three hours and you are enjoying the Atlas Mountains, then another two hours and you are enjoying the desert, then another three and you are enjoying the sea and sunshine."
Visitors are encouraged to "interact and interrelate" with the locals and their culture, although he urged tourists to be aware of and respect local Moroccan traditions.
In addition to the Atlas Mountains in the centre of the country, those interested in hiking holidays may want to visit the Rif Mountains in the north of Morocco.
