NSW has plenty to offer on adventure holidays to Australia

New South Wales is home to Sydney, beautiful coastal beaches and stretches of the Outback

When taking adventure holidays to Australia, there are so many highlights to enjoy in New South Wales (NSW).

Famed as the home state of Sydney, it also boasts exquisite natural scenery, both above land and in the waters that lap at its pristine coasts.

And according to Destination NSW, which promotes the region as a great choice for tourists, the sheer vastness of NSW means that it is possible to enjoy almost any sort of holiday there.

Sandra Chipchase, chief executive of the organisation, explained that NSW offers so much beyond the charms of Sydney.

"The north coast and south coast for those looking for a beach and coastal-surf lifestyle holiday, the Blue Mountains for a magical nature experience, the Outback for a unique adventure and central NSW for idyllic farm and agricultural experiences," she said, highlighting some of the many things to do.

The Outback offers some of Australia's most iconic scenery, with vast tracts of red earth meeting clear blue skies for amazing imagery.
