Writer suggests Morocco mountains for an unforgettable trip
Travellers looking for hiking holidays should consider visiting the High Atlas mountains in Morocco, according to a writer.
In an interview with the Guardian, novelist and non-fiction writer Lucy Wadham said that her trek across the mountains was inspiring.
According to Ms Wadham, people looking for Morocco holidays should think about mountain trekking as a complete break from the stresses of home, as the "hills engulf [you] … into the kind of natural embrace that makes you forget where you're from".
The author said that her trip provided her with the motivation for a book.
"Those four magical, prelapsarian days of Berber hospitality were the inspiration for Aisha's redemptive journey in my third novel, Greater Love," she said.
Lucy Wadham has written three novels and a non-fiction book - called the Secret Life of France - about living in the European country. She also publishes a blog under the same title.
