The island's restaurants offer something for everyone, says writer
Visitors can enjoy a fantastic range of cuisine during solo holidays in Mallorca, it has been claimed.
Anna Nicholas, author, journalist and Mallorca-based PR consultant, expressed her belief that the island's restaurants offer something for everyone.
She said: "Mallorca has a fantastically wide range of cuisine. In the capital, Palma, there is everything from sophisticated fine dining in the old town through to small and authentic fish restaurants along the Paseo Maritimo and in Portixol.
"Outside of the capital, there are excellent foodie areas such as in the up market yachting zone of Puerto Portals heading south along the coast where restaurants such as Tristan and Flannigan top the list."
Ms Nicholas added that holidaymakers will find the best-value food in the rural areas of the island, such as the villages of Fornalutx and Deia, as well as the Port of Soller.
Those looking for authentic fare should seek out restaurants which are full of locals to avoid tourist traps.
