Sri Lanka offers a one stop holiday destination for people on adventure holidays, where experience meets great value, according to the country's tourism body.
A spokesman for Sri Lanka Tourism noted that the country has a vast amount of different elements that may tempt a traveller on an adventure holiday.
"Compared to other Indian Ocean destinations Sri Lanka offers clients the best value holiday, encompassing not only stunning coastline, but also some of the best wildlife watching in Asia," he said.
The beautiful natural scenes that Sri Lanka offers are coupled with a "unique ancient and modern culture and an array of accommodation fitting for all budgets".
"The past 18 months has shown strong growth month on month since the end of the conflict and the continuing value proposition Sri Lanka offers holidaymakers," the spokesman noted.
The comments come after the Pacific Asia Travel Association released preliminary figures for international visitor arrivals into Asia and the Pacific for January 2011 showing that Sri Lanka had experienced a 46 per cent growth.
