Walk the Camino de Santiago on a hiking holiday devised by Emilio Estevez

People looking to take an adventure holiday through Europe may wish to take a hiking holiday that was devised with the help of Hollywood star Emilio Estevez.

The Mighty Ducks actor is to direct a new film called The Way, which is set to star his father Martin Sheen. The movie follows the pilgrimage route of Camino de Santiago through Spain.

Now, people who wish to take in the sights of the walk, including the Pyrenees mountain range, can go on the Highlights of The Way hiking holiday which was devised in conjunction with the filmmaker.

Mr Estevez said that he and his father are hoping that the motion picture will inspire people to take hiking holidays.

"For many people who see the film, The Way seems to instil a strong desire to 'do' the Camino," he said. "My father and I are passionate about the historic walk and are delighted that we have inspired other people to tread in historic footprints."
