Two volcanic plugs make up part of the country's beautiful skyline
People planning adventure holidays could take a trip to St Lucia, as the Caribbean two of the island nation's peaks are ideal for hiking and for taking in views.
St Lucia is well-known for two volcanic plugs rising out of the island, called the Pitons. These rising formations, individually called Petit Piton and Gros Piton, around both around 750 metres high and make up part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As well as seeing the vistas, another thing that people on adventure holidays to St Lucia could do is try some traditional Caribbean cooking methods.
Travel writer Malcolm Herdman, writing in the Daily Mail said: "Orlando [a local chef] offered to show us some 'coal pot' cooking."
"It's not unlike a barbecue but filled with coal and with a chimney at the back. He cooked cocoa lamb, using a cocoa stick which, surprisingly, adds a slightly bitter rather than sweet taste," he added.
