Jeep safaris and scuba diving of the coast are great ideas for people on activity breaks
Turkey is a 'fantastic' destination for people planning to take an adventure holiday in Europe.
That is according to the tourism office for the country, which straddles two continents, meaning it has a huge variety of cultural attractions as well.
Jill Guest, who works for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, said that the people interested in scuba diving can dive in the beautiful water off the country's coast, but there are other options for people on activity breaks.
"Other active pursuits available in the vicinity include horse riding and quad biking," she said.
"A jeep safari is a great way to get out and about to explore traditional villages and off-the-beaten-track sites - either drive yourself or be driven by a guide, as part of a convoy."
Other attractions in Turkey include the Bosphorus River, which is the straight that separates the European and Asian regions of the country.
