Indian travellers should visit Mumbai Jain Temple
E-mail Print

Ornate decoration means tourists flock to the religious site

Travelling through India offers a truly life-changing experience for people on solo holidays and one thing that should not be missed is a famous religious centre in Mumbai.

The Babu Amichand Panalal Adishwarji Jain Temple (often known simply as the Jain Temple) has been voted one of the best things to do in the city formerly known as Bombay.

Mumbai's Jain Temple is the third most popular attraction in the city, according to readers of the Trip Advisor travel guide website.

First built in 1904, the large religious building is often visited on solo holidays through the Asian country due to its beautiful and ornate decoration.

Jainism is a religion which is particularly prevalent in Mumbai; it preaches pacifism as the ideal way of life.

Another central conviction of the belief system is the belief in karma of the soul: that everyone is born either heavenly, human, sub-human or hellish, depending on their past lives.
