Travellers planning Morocco holidays can enjoy 'intoxicating' Marrakech
E-mail Print

Solo travellers planning to stay in Morocco are advised to visit Marrakech and revel in its lively atmosphere

Single travellers planning to book their Morocco holidays should make a trip to Marrakech and enjoy its "intoxicating" atmosphere.

That is according to Matt Phillips, online editor of Travel Africa magazine, who claimed that visitors will love to explore the city and discover its many hidden secrets.

"It's as easy as ever to lose yourself in the depths of the city's vibrant markets and myriad alleyways. Even in Djemaa el-Fna, the city's largest square and the epicentre for tourists, it is hard not to be intoxicated by the city's spirit," he said.

Mr Phillips advised holidaymakers visit Djemaa el-Fna at night and sample the local delicacies available at its many eateries.

The Moroccan city is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination for Britons, with British Airways listing it as their top destination for 2011.

Furthermore, Experian Hitwise has revealed that Marrakech was among the most searched for destinations on its websites, rising 29 places since October 2009.
