Estonian capital is ideal for people on solo holidays
The Estonian capital city of Tallinn is a great destination for people taking solo holidays to eastern Europe, according to a travel expert.
Adrian Bridge, who is the Daily Telegraph's travel production editor, said that travellers should be sure to see as many of the "many faces of this fabled city on the Baltic" as they can.
Mr Bridge, whose areas of expertise include central and eastern Europe, wrote about the many things to do in Estonia's capital city.
"After taking in some of the key sights and museums of the Old Town - from Toompea Castle to the city walls and towers, the church of St Olav (once the highest building in the world)," he said.
Tallinn is one of the European Union's 2011 European Capitals of Culture: as part of these celebrations, around 7,000 events will be held around the city, including music performances, film screenings and festivals of art.
