The huge country of Australia offers "a wealth of different opportunities" to people on adventure holidays, according to a travel guide publisher.
Liz Harper, who is head of marketing and press relations at Footprint Travel Guides, said that the country - due to its sheer size - has so much to offer to most types of adventure travellers
"This vast and fascinating country offers a wealth of different opportunities, experiences, cultures and climates," she said.
Ms Harper added that, being an English-speaking country, communication in Australia is easier that in some destinations.
Some experiences that travellers can take part in on an adventure holiday in Australia include sailing a traditional ship in Sydney harbour or visiting Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to see the famous formation known as Ayers Rock.
Footprint Travel Guides was established in 1924, the company publishes books offering advice for people travelling to over 150 destinations.
