Tourism board says WWC will be a chance to show off the country

People planning trips to Germany on a solo holiday could see how the country's tourism infrastructure deals with the upcoming Women's World Cup, kicking off on June 26th in Berlin's Olympic Stadium.

According to the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), people will find that the country has the enthusiasm and hospitality to show fans how "modern [and] reliable" Germany is.

Jeanette Schuchmann, deputy director at the GNTB, noted that "Germany proved a very popular location in 2006 for the last World Cup, so we know that we have a modern and reliable infrastructure [and] we know we are great value for money".

After seeing the fans flock to the country this summer, people planning travels of their own may be tempted to take a cycling holiday through the country's beautiful Bavarian region of Passau.

The final for the Women's World Cup takes place on July 17th at Frankfurt's World Cup stadium.
