Highlights of the Highlands
From Inverness, we drive to the historic town of Beauly and pause to visit the incredible Corrimony Cairn stone circle; a remarkably well-preserved Bronze Age tomb, complete with burial chamber and underground passage. Next we head to Scotland's most evocative glen and along the shores of Loch Ness; a place of myth and legend and 'home' to the world-famous monster. We'll also stop at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle - probably one of the most enduring images of the Highlands and Islands. Our accommodation for 3 nights is a cosy family run inn, close to the harbour in the fishing village of Plockton in the Western Highlands.

Isle of Skye
Magnificent mountains, tumbling rivers, colourful rugged moorland, rich sea-lochs, intricate coast and bountiful wildlife make Skye a unique outdoor experience. We have two full days dedicated to exploring this spectacular landscape on foot. On the first day we enjoy a full day walk on Skye itself, discover villages sacked in the notorious 'Clearances' and experience one of the most beautiful wilderness areas Scotland has to offer. A contrasting experience is offered on the second day as we take a walk on the mainland, encompassing forest, coast, castles and crags but never far from those breathtaking views back to the Isle of Skye. On our last day we enjoy a short walk to Rogie Falls and visit the award winning and organic Black Isle Brewery before heading back to Inverness where you can be dropped off at the bus and train station or at the airport (upon request).

Comment

All of the best of Scotland rolled into a short break. Great sites, great walks and a comfortable hotel to return to at the end of each day.
