Antarctic Peninsula And The Falkland Islands - M/v Polar Pioneer

Overview

Antarctica and the Falkland Islands

This unique voyage explores the extraordinary landscapes
and wildlife of the Falkland Islands and Antarctic Peninsula in the company of scientists and photographers. Join renowned wildlife photographers and scientists from Arctowski (a Polish station) and Vernadsky (a Ukrainian station) as you journey south. Researchers will be on-board to give you an unprecedented insight into life on two Antarctic stations, and wildlife photographers will conduct outdoor workshops to help you take that picture-perfect shot of a passing albatross, or close-up view of an adorable penguin. The Falkland Islands are home to millions of petrels, albatrosses, penguins, gulls and cormorants, as well as king penguins - the second tallest species in the world - and elephant seals. To be amid this wildlife, and the immense icescapes of the Antarctic Peninsula, is truly amazing.
