Borneo Wildlife Holiday

Overview

A classic wildlife adventure through Sabah, Borneo’s northern wilderness. We visit the orang-utans at feeding time and watch proboscis monkeys swing through the treetops of the rainforest. We also have the chance to trek up mighty Mount Kinabalu, relax in bubbling hot springs and swim in the crystal waters of the South China Sea.

Tour Highlights

  • Klias River - Cruise the river to see proboscis monkeys and other wildlife
  • Homestay - Village stay in rural Borneo
  • Mt Kinabalu - Climb South East Asia’s highest mountain (4095m)
  • Manukan Island - Boat trip to this protected tropical island with pristine beaches, excellent snorkeling and nature trails

What we say

sarah-king

Staff Member Sarah King travelled on this tour in 2010.

"Borneo is the ideal destination for wildlife lovers, with the main draw being Orang Utans but with a wealth of other animals to see. I particularly enjoyed walking in Sepilok, looking at reptiles including vipers and a komodo dragon and viewing the rarely seen mouse deer."
