Trekking Details
This is an 8-day trek with an average of 5 to 7 hours trekking each day, except on the ascent of the Uhuru Peak which involves 12 to 14 hours of trekking. Generally we walk at altitudes between 3000m and 5000m and we reach a maximum altitude of 5895m. We have graded this trek as strenuous to tough.

Mount Kilimanjaro Trek And Tanzania Safari

Overview

On this trip we combine an ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro with a safari in Tanzania’s two most famous wildlife parks. First we trek to Uhuru Peak (5895m), the highest point in Africa, following the quiet Lemosho route. Then we go on safari in the great gamelands of the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater in search of the ‘big five’.

Grading & Fitness for Treks

To climb Kilimanjaro you must be in good physical shape before you arrive. We recommend you start your fitness training well before departure. Running, hill walking and other active sports are the best ways of increasing your stamina and improving your fitness for a trek at high altitude.
