Day 1:
Overnight Flight from London
Depart the UK on an overnight flight bound for Bangkok.
Day 2:
Long-tail boat cruise
One of Asia’s most fascinating cities, Bangkok is an exotic mix of traditional and modern. A relaxing introduction is to cruise along the Klongs in a long-tail boat, experiencing the sights and sounds of this exotic city.
Day 3:
Bangkok city tour
Spend another day exploring Bangkok. Visit the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, and go haggling at one of the city’s bustling night markets.
Day 4:
Overnight rice barge cruise
Relax and watch life go by on the Chao Phraya River aboard a converted rice barge as paddy fields, traditional dwellings and river life all unfold before you. Dine by candlelight on deck before retiring to your air-conditioned cabin.
Day 5:
Ayuthaya visit
Disembark at Bang Pa In and drive to Ayuthaya, the former majestic capital of Siam and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit some of these treasured historical buildings before returning to Bangkok.
Day 6:
River Kwai
On your drive to the River Kwai area you'll stop en route at one of the colourful floating markets where locals peddle their wares from long-tail boats. Also see the renowned Second World War Bridge and memorial fields, before taking the train along the notorious Death Railway
Day 7:
River Kwai free day
Choose one of many options available such as bamboo rafting, hiking to a waterfall or visiting Hellfire Pass. In the evening, learn the secrets of Thai cuisine in a cookery class
Day 8:
River Kwai to Bangkok
This morning take an early morning cycle ride to give offerings to the monks or spend the day as you wish. You may like to do some last minute shopping!
Day 9:
Flight from Bangkok to UK
Your day is at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK
