During the autumn and spring temperatures are warm and pleasant, making it the best time to visit Jordan. It can get cold during the winter months and it isn’t uncommon to experience snow in January. Drive to Petra via Madaba and Mt Nebo
Follow the 5000 year old King’s Highway to Petra, stopping en route at the Christian town of Madaba. Known as the “city of mosaics”, many fine examples of 5th to 7th century colourful Byzantine tiles have been discovered here. Visit Mt Nebo, the point at which Moses glimpsed the Holy Land and home to splendid views, before arriving in Petra.
