Day 1:
Flight to Kilimanjaro
Leave the UK on your flight to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
Day 2:
Moshi
On arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your accommodation for an afternoon of relaxation in preparation of the climb ahead.

Ameg Lodge is located on the outskirts of Moshi. This small, mid-range property has simple rooms, each with a veranda overlooking the grounds. There is a main dining area, lounge and swimming pool with poolside bar set within the gardens.
Day 3:
Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Forest Camp)
After a short drive the adventure begins with a walk through the Lemosho Glades. Today's trek takes you through unspoilt rainforest to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Forest Camp). This lies at around 2780m and will take about three to four hours.

Day 4:
Trek to Shira Camp
A full day’s trek takes you to a beautiful valley rest stop on the edge of the Shira crater. You walk amid the grassy moorland, heather and rock formations of the plateau into Shira One Camp, lying at an altitude of 3500m. You will be rewarded with views of Kibo Peak floating on the clouds. Today's trek is about five to six hours.

Day 5:
Moir Hut
Today you trek east across Shira Plateau to your camp at Moir Hut, which is located at just over 4175m. It's a distance of about 10km/five to six hours. During the trek today you'll move from moorland to the broad upland desert beneath the Lent Hills. This afternoon, you can opt for a more strenuous walk - a great chance to acclimatise.

Day 6:
Lava Tower
This morning we have a gentle ascent with great views, walking on the lava ridges beneath the glaciers of the western breach until we reach Lava Tower (4640m). You'll be walking for about three to four hours. This afternoon an acclimatisation trek to Arrow Glacier.

Day 7:
Karanga Camp
Begin with an early morning descent into the base of the Great Barranco Valley, and then climb up the Barranco Wall. At the top, admire the views of Mount Meru and the plains below. Continue on to Karanga Camp at 3930m. It's about six to eight hours walking today.

Day 8:
Barafu Camp
Today you walk to Barafu Camp (4640m), resting in the afternoon before an early dinner. Tonight is an early night in preparation for tomorrow’s summit attempt.

Day 9:
Summit day - Uhuru Peak
Leaving camp at around midnight, you'll commence your trek to Stella Point at 5750m. You continue around the rim to the highest point; Uhuru Point (5895m). Here you can enjoy amazing views. After reaching Kilimanjaro’s summit, you return via Stella Point and descend to Millennium Camp (3790m). Today is about 14 hours walking.

Day 10:
Descend to Mweka Gate
Today is an early start, walking through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. From here you are transferred to your hotel where you can relax and unwind, taking a well-deserved rest.
