Fly to Marrakech
Depart from the UK. You'll be met on arrival in Marrakech and transferred to your hotel.

Set just 100 metres from the entrance to the bazaars this small riad has the ideal location from which you can explore this bustling city. The riad features traditional decor and furnishings throughout, and each room is decorated with a different design. Guests can relax and enjoy the views over Marrakech from the rooftop terrace, and enjoy some of the Moroccan dishes cooked by the riad's restaurant.

Morning city tour, transfer to Oukaimeden
This morning you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, visiting the vibrant medina and souks, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs and Koutoubia Mosque. In the afternoon you will travel to Oukaimeden. Situated at 2700 metres, it has alpine valley views and green pastures. This is our starting point for the following five days’ trek.

Trek from Oukaimeden to Iabessene
Heading out to the upper Ourika Valley, today’s trek takes you through local villages and on to Iabessene, your stop for the night

Trek to Ouanskera
Leaving the village of Iabessene, today’s trek takes in some steep ascents and descents passing Tizi n’Tachedirt (3230m) and Tachedirt before reaching Ouanskera (2300m).

Trek to Aremd
Leaving the Imenane Valley along zigzag trails, you’ll head over the Tizi n’Tamertert (2279) pass, and into the small village of Aremd (1950).

Trek to Toubkal base camp
Today’s trek will take you 1467m up to the Toubkal refuge. The trails take you past rivers and through tiny hamlets to the Toubkal refuge; grab a fresh orange juice along the way to refresh!

Trek to the summit
Starting early, today is the day you head for the summit of North Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal (4165m). The first part is up steep scree slopes, before you’re rewarded with superb views from the high ridge. Once you have reached the summit you return down the same track, through Aremd to Imlil.

Transfer back to Marrakech
Leaving the High Atlas, you return to Marrakech. This afternoon has been left free for you relax or do some last minute souvenir shopping.
