Flight to Ruaha National Park
From Dar es Salaam Airport, board a light aircraft and fly to Ruaha National Park in southern Tanzania. Enjoy a spectacular bird’s eye view as you travel over treetops and grassy plains, spotting wildlife en-route, if you're lucky! Your safari adventure begins from the moment the plane touches down as you transfer through the bush to your lodge.

Ruaha River Lodge
Ruaha River Lodge is one of the oldest lodges in Ruaha National Park. Accommodation comprises of very spacious detached bandas built of local stone and thatched roofs stunningly located along the banks of the Ruaha River.The large verandas at the bandas and also in the lounge areas provide a peaceful place to watch animals coming down to the river to drink.

Game activities in Ruaha
Spend two full days on expertly guided game drives around this great park. Less accessible than some of Tanzania's better known parks, Ruaha provides a more private safari experience as relatively few tourists venture here. Known for its large population of elephants, there is also a great chance of viewing lions whilst your guide will endeavour to search for the elusive leopard and cheetah.

Flight to Selous Game Reserve
Fly to the Selous Game Reserve, a World Heritage Site and one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world. Arriving in time for an afternoon game drive, head out in search of elephants, hippos and crocodiles – all of which are found in abundance in this remote and largely untouched part of Tanzania. The very lucky may even spot the endangered African wild dog.

Rufiji River Camp
Rufiji River Camp has a great location high up on a bank overlooking the Rufuji River, affording fantastic views. Recently modernised and completely updated, the camp now has 11 tents and three family suites on raised wooden platforms overlooking the river. Each tent has a large shady thatched roof and outside sitting area from which to enjoy the sights and sounds of the African bush. The camp also has a small pool and offers boat safaris on the Rufiji River, and game drives encompassing the three nearby lakes.

Explore Selous
Exploring the Selous is fun however you choose to do it – on foot, in a jeep or from a boat! Much of the game viewing is concentrated in and around the great Rufiji River which attracts a great variety of wildlife activity.

Lazy Lagoon
With 9kms of deserted beach, Lazy Lagoon lies in the Zanzibar Channel, offshore from mainland Bagamoyo. The large and airy self-contained beach bandas have shaded verandas and hammocks overlooking the ocean, whilst the main lodge offers a lounge, bar, dining area and swimming pool.

Laze by the pool, swim in turquoise waters and enjoy evening walks on palm-fringed sandy beaches. Optional snorkelling, dhow cruises or kayaking can also be arranged.
