Day 3:
Bangkok highlights
Tour of the city’s highlights, starting with the Grand Palace. The palace is a stunning collection of over 100 buildings representing 200 years of Thai history and a former Royal residence which continues to be used for ceremonial occasions. In the grounds is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the holiest site in Thailand. Your tour then continues to Wat Po, home of the largest reclining Buddha. The statue is 46m long, 15m high and finished in gold leaf.

Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap and explore the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. Visit the Roluos group of temples dating from the ninth and 10th century, including Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei Temples.

Angkor Wat
After a final look at the temples of Angkor, visit a local silk factory and make your own handkerchief at a project set-up to provide employment for local people to work on making traditional textiles. You’ll see the whole silk process from start to finish.

Luang Prabang
Fly to Luang Prabang and tour the city’s shrines. Your visit begins with a trip to the Royal Palace Museum, before heading to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong representative of classic Laotian architecture because of its sweeping low roofs.

Day 8:
Luang Prabang

Day 9:
Pakse
Fly to Pakse and visit the pre-Angkorian ruins of Wat Phu. There’s plenty of time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Take a long-tail boat to Si Phan Done Island, part of the 4,000 Islands, to relax or explore the island.

Khone Island and Liphi Waterfall
Today, you’ll explore the French colonial past of Khone Island, before visiting Liphi Waterfall, which forms a natural border between Lao and Cambodia, and the famous waterfall of Khone Phapeng - the largest waterfall in South East Asia.

Day 11 to 12:
Bolaven Plateau
This morning, you head towards the Bolaven Plateau. The area is famous for its many waterfalls, including Tad Fan; Tad Fan waterfall is spectacular with twin waterfalls plummeting into a deep gorge. You'll visit many minority villages and explore the many waterfalls of the Bolaven Plateau befor returning to Pakse on day 12.
